I am dedicated to and passionate about teaching. I have recently published a piece in Teaching Sociology that discusses the use of anonymous secrets as a tool for teaching students about the sociological imagination and analyses students' responses to this resource. I was honored to receive a student-nominated PIE award in 2014 at the University of Wyoming, which rewards teaching in first-year courses. I am also committed to graduate education, serving on several graduate thesis committees and teaching our graduate research methods seminar.

More generally, in keeping with my academic interests, I teach courses in political sociology, development, political economy, globalization, health, and research methods. Please contact me for a copy of any of these syllabi or for more information about these courses.
