About & Contact
I study how morality shapes public life. My research examines how morality and authority take shape across domains, including health policy, science and religion, research ethics, and a new research stream on kindness.

I’ve published two books—Banking on Health (2017) and Project Management for Researchers (2024)—as well as articles in journals such as American Sociological Review and World Development.

At Denison University, I teach courses on development, science and religion, and methods, always with a hands-on research component. Beyond the classroom, I give talks and workshops for academic and public audiences.
